Anika Noni Rose, an American actor and singer. She is best known for her vocalist of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog, the very first African American Disney princess. Rose was named an official Disney Legend in 2011. Rose was in Lorrell Robinson, the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose, a native of the United States is an American actor, singer and songwriter. Her other notable roles include her performances in theatre particularly in her leading roles as Emmie Thibodeaux, in The Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) where she received the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Beneatha Younger as part of A Raisin in the Sun, the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
